What fabric are the jackets?

The main body fabric is a cosy wool/polyester blend. The internal lining is a silky-feeling polyester, and the sleeves are PU water resistant leather (faux leather).

Can I customise my jacket / beanie / etc?

Unfortunately no, we cannot offer customisation of individual items.

When will I get my items?

We expect to ship items in late January - February 2025. So they should arrive to backers in February - March 2025. But check out our latest updates for the most recent expected timeline.

Can I combine my order with items from your shop?

Ooooh how I wish we could. But it’s just too difficult to manage logistically. However we may make some of our popular items (like our Bookish Bags) available as Add Ons when you pay for shipping. It will just depend on what our stock levels are at the time, but it’s something we try to offer when we can since it saves you money on postage.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Terms and Conditions

Backers are responsible for ordering the correct size / style of their jacket. Measurements are provided within the survey. We cannot offer refunds or exchanges for jackets.

In our experience, less than 3.5% of our orders have any issues with the product or delivery. But in the unlikely event that happens, these terms apply.

If you are unable to pay for shipping at the time it is charged, we cannot refund your order. However, we might be able to remove some items from your order to cover or reduce the cost of shipping. Please contact us and we'll do our best to sort something out for you.

Unpaid orders will expire 6 months after fulfilment is completed. This includes partially paid orders or unpaid shipping. You will receive multiple notifications from BackerKit and messages from us to let you know if your order is unpaid or survey is incomplete. If we have not heard from you 6 months AFTER fulfilment is finished, your order will expire without refund.

If there is a problem with your order, please let us know within 30 days of receiving it. You can message via Kickstarter or email [email protected]

If your order is Returned To Sender, you will need to pay postage again for it to be re-sent to you.

If your order is lost in the mail or marked as delivered but not actually delivered, we cannot refund your items. However, we would like to work with you to find a solution if possible, so get in touch via email.

Item colours may vary slightly in real life. We do our best to take photos that accurately represent the colours, but everyone's screen will display it slightly differently.
